Screen printing

Along with letterpress printing, this printing process is one of the oldest methods. Using a squeegee, printing ink is “printed” through a stretched fabric onto an underlying surface by means of a squeegee. The fabric is covered with a stencil made impermeable to ink by means of a stencil.

Advantages

The main advantage of this process is the versatility of the substrates and the choice of inks for a wide range of applications. Everything from simple stickers, to glass, wood, high-performance foils, metals of all kinds, plastics, textiles, molded parts and much more, are achievable with the appropriate ink. Amongst the possible effect achievable are optical features such as afterglow inks, photochromatic reactions (the color becomes visible through UV light), thermochromatic effects (the color disappears when exposed to temperature) and haptic results can be achieved with UV inks. We can hence produce a wide range of prints (e.g. Relief, braille, sand structures in different granularity, rubber-like coatings, high-gloss spot varnishes, very special industrial applications such as conductive silver pastes, adhesives of all kinds, sealing of surfaces, safeguarding of products with visible and invisible components in the inks making counterfeiting impossible etc.). We are also well familiar with on-site printing like for instance in museums and exhibitions. Without to mention the possibility for large format screen printing (up to 100 x 200 cm) or roll to roll printing
By using a very high grade thick ink all prints can be expected to be durable and last for many decades incomparable with other printing methods.
